MiM is Officially Launching a Student Chapter at UCF!

MiM is officially making its mark on UCF with a new student chapter! We’re building a community for students from the very start of their journey, giving them the network, knowledge, and opportunities many of us had to navigate on our own.

“If you know me, you know how much my college experience meant to me. I was so lucky to be surrounded with impactful mentors who helped guide and encourage me and now I'm excited pay it forward, with Mujeres in Marketing at the University of Central Florida.

I want to congratulate Maya Torres and Maria Soto, our founding President and VP, for being the driving force behind the collegiate chapter. Thank you to Ashley Rivera Mercado, MBA for trusting me with the responsibility of helping women confidently navigate their entry into the professional world. I would also like to express a huge thank you to our faculty advisors, Cassandra Willard, Esq. and Sara López Gómez, Ph.D. for believing in the chapter and our Mujeres.

🧡 For me, it's simply an honor. Keep up with us this semester and onward at Mujeres in Marketing at the University of Central Florida.” Said MiM Vice President, Luana Ortiz, of the launch of MiM’s UCF Student Chapter.

We are so proud of MiM Vice President, Luana Ortiz, Founding Student Chapter President, Maya Torres, and our Founding Student Chapter Vice President, Maria Soto, for making the student chapter a reality and for helping bring our dream of a student chapter to life. MiM at UCF brings workshops, speaker events, internships & more to the next generation of marketers.

La Cultura: The Impact of Bad Bunny’s Residency on Tourism, Marketing and Beyond

Bad Bunny’s Historic residency in Puerto Rico has begun and so too has the accompanying tourism and marketing boom to local business, major corporations and the island itself.

Major brands have been quick to cash in on the opportunity to collaborate with the Puerto Rican artist with brands like Adidas announcing a new collaboration with Bad Bunny on a new launch that serves as a love letter to Puerto Rico. Select colorways from the new Gazelle City Series will be available exclusively to residents of Puerto Rico. This deference to island residents mirrors Bad Bunny prioritizing his first set of shows to Puerto Rican residents only. This isn’t just a continuation of a brand partnership, but the continued demonstration of the way one of the biggest artists in music today continues to prioritize his isla and his people.

Tourism is up in Puerto Rico with an estimated 600,000 visitors expected to the Island over the course Bad Bunny’s residency. Discover Puerto Rico, the island’s destination marketing organization, is using this historic moment to highlight the importance of sustainable and responsible tourism.

Bad Bunny’s residency is projected to earn over $200 million dollars for Puerto Rico’s economy over the course of the residency’s 30 dates with Bad Bunny himself urging fans to support local businesses on the island.
